Moong Dal Cheelas

(Serves: 4)

Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup whole green gram
  • 1.5 inch piece ginger
  • 5-6 garlic chopped
  • 1 mediumonion roughly chopped
  • 3 green chillies roughly chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 tspred chilli powder
  • 3/4 cup green chutney
How to make
  1. Soak moongin two cups of water for minimum four hours.
  2. Remove the water& keep it aside.
  3. Grind moongwith ginger, garlic, green chillies and salt to a smooth batter .Add some water(kept aside) if needed to make the consistency of batter like that of dosa batter.
  4. Add red chilli powder,chopped onions and mix well. Heat a ceramictawaand spread a ladle full of batter to a thin disc. Cook on medium heat till the underside is done.
  5. Carefully flip over and cook till the other side is done too.
  6. Serve hot with green chutney.
