Whole Wheat Quesadillas
Whole Wheat Quesadillas
(Serves: 6)
Ingredients
1 cup whole wheat flour
1/4 cup skimmed milk
salt to taste
Ingredients – For Stuffing
1 cup soaked rajma (kidney beans)
1/2 cup finely chopped onions
1/2 cup finely chopped tomatoes
1/2 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera) powder
2 tbsp finely chopped coriander
1/2 tspchaat masala
1.5tsp lemon juice
salt to taste
How to make
Combine all the ingredients to prepare the dough in a deep bowl, mix well and knead into a soft dough using enough water.
Cover the dough with a lid and keep aside for 15 minutes.
Boil & slightly mash rajma.Add rest of stuffing ingredients to it.Mix well.
Roll a portion of the tortilla dough into a thin disc using a little whole wheat flour for rolling.
Place a tortilla on a flat, dry surface, spread a portion of the stuffing on half of the tortilla and fold it over to make a semi-circle.
Heat a ceramictava (griddle) and cook the quesadilla on a slow flame till golden brown spots appear on both the sides.
